3D Game Animator

We’re looking for a creative and experienced 3D Game Animator who is excited to help us create a new multiplayer game based on the Emmy® Award-winning Netflix series, The Dragon Prince!

As a member of our Art team, you will bring the characters and creatures of Xadia to life using classic animation principles and body mechanics, working in partnership with many different disciplines to ensure we provide the best experience for our players.

You Will:

• Create visually striking and exciting looking animations for heroes, enemies, and bosses for The Dragon Prince game
• Develop excellent visual frames and strong poses that represent the characters and serve the game's design goals
• Collaborate with art, design, and engineering teams to help refine the animation pipeline and workflows
• Partner closely with Art Direction to uphold the artistic style and ensure a unified look of animations across the game
• R&D new techniques and best practices to implement into the production pipeline
• Hand key animations for bipedal characters (humans and elves!) as well as unusual fantasy creatures
• Tightly coordinate with combat designers, VFX artists, and audio designers to synchronize character abilities

• Adept at gathering research and reference to communicate your ideas and feedback
• Proficient at organizing tasks and working with internal art teams and outsourcers
• Able to work with a high degree of motivation, and readiness for collaboration
• Excited to actively contribute to a positive work environment and culture

Required Qualifications:

• Exceptional animation portfolio demonstrating expert keyframing skills for combat games
• Experience utilizing Unreal Engine 4
• Proven track record on at least one shipped title

Desired Qualifications:

• Orthographic game camera experience

The annual base pay range for this position in Los Angeles, California is $85,000 USD - $145,000 USD. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and overall experience. In addition to base pay, all full-time positions will receive equity, flexible PTO, unlimited sick leave, parental leave, a full range of medical, dental, and vision insurance, and relocation support as part of the overall compensation package.
